Middle/High School Entrée Calculator
Entrees are the primary food in a meal, such as: sandwiches, burritos, pasta, pizza, bagel with cream cheese, fries with chili, baked potato with toppings, soup, lo mein, chow mein, chimichangas, cereal with milk, hamburgers/hotdogs. Use this calculator to determine if your entrée meets California’s school food standards. This calculator is for use with those “entrees” that are sold outside of the National School Breakfast of Lunch Program.

Entrees for middle/high school must meet the following standards:

  • No more than 400 calories
  • No more than 4 grams of fat per 100 calories

  • To find out if your entrée meets the standards, input data from the Nutrition Facts label into the required fields.
