Key Informant Interviews with Students, Experts and LEAN Regional Coordinators about Healthy Eating, Physical Activity and Multicultural Youth
In April 1998, findings from key informant interviews were summarized to support the development of a social marketing plan for California Project LEAN's (CPL)
Food on the Run program. The purpose of the interviews were to gain insight into high school student's knowledge, attitudes, practices, beliefs, benefits, and barriers to eating healthy and being physically active.
Interviews were conducted with three informant groups:
- 32 high school students aged 14 - 18 attending California high schools funded to implement CPL's Food on the Run program;
- 20 CPL regional coordinators who work on the Food on the Run program; and
- 20 experts from diverse professional backgrounds, that deliver and influence food and physical activity choices among youth.
