Shelly Masur is a School Board Member for the Redwood City School District and a member of the California School Boards Association's Delegate Assembly. She is on board policy and wellness committees and is a board representative for Redwood City 2020. Ms. Masur holds a master's degree in public health and has more than 15 years of experience in adolescent health and youth services. She sits on California School Boards Association's School Health Advisory Committee and served as the co-chair of the School Wellness Task Force for San Mateo County's Prevention of Childhood Obesity Task Force.
Matt Diskin is a Physical Education Specialist, Special Education Teacher, and football coach in the Gateway Unified School District in Shasta County. He has been teaching for more than 20 years and holds a master's degree in science kinesiology from Humboldt State University. Mr. Diskin gained national attention when he overhauled physical education in the Gateway Unified School District. He built custom exercise labs in each school and created opportunities for movement with fun innovations, such as painting agility ladders throughout the grounds of each campus. He was named "Teacher of the Year" in his school district in 1998 and 2005.
